Good morning Band Families,
I hope you are all adjusting to the band schedule and beginning to get an idea of how things work when you are a member of the Emerald Regiment. Remember, if you are still confused about things, refer to these emails, the band calendar, Facebook, Instagram, and your Remind texts. You will find most of your questions are answered on one if not all of these platforms. But, if they aren’t, feel free to ask! We are here to help! REMINDERS
SPIRIT WEAR & UNIFORMS Spirit wear will be available for pick up both before and after preview this Saturday. There will be tables near the concession area by the football field as you enter/exit the preview. Please make plans to retrieve your items then. If the shoes and gloves order is in before Saturday, those items can also be picked up. It will be the students' responsibility to keep track of those items (and clean as needed). Thank you to the volunteers who are helping us distribute the items! COLOR GUARD Don’t forget that Color Guard spirit wear orders are due by August 28. ShopWithScrip.com Scrip is an easy way to earn money while you do everyday shopping! 100% of your rebate money earned goes directly to your band student’s account. Coming soon to Scrip - Credit Card payment option (2.60% fee) FUNDRAISING Mums are back again this year! I handed out order forms during band camp and the kids can sell until August 30. If this form did not make it home to you, please use one of the attached forms below. The mums will be in 9" pots 12-18" wide and 12-16" tall and cost $10 each. The color choices are Yellow, Purple/Pink, Red, Orange/Bronze, and White. Pickup of the mums will be September 21 from 8 am-12 pm in the school parking lot. Please see the attachment for order forms. PLEASE SEND order form, with payment, in a sealed envelope. Please have them place them in the band payment box outside the band office. The last date for turn-ins AUG 30 because I need to get these orders to the nursery. FRESHMAN/NEW BAND MEMBERS Attention all parents of freshman and new band members, are you getting emails from Melissa Lopez? If not, please email her asap so you can get added to her list. NEXT WEEK IN BAND Aug 26-Aug 30 Mon, Aug 26 7 am Rehearsal. All students begin promptly at 7 am. Percussion will be released to first hour then return for 2nd hour. Tue, Aug 27 Rehearsal. All students begin promptly at 7 am. Percussion will be released to first hour then return for 2nd hour. 3:30-5:30pm Percussion only. This is a weekly sectional that is MANDATORY for all percussion students (front ensemble and drum line). 5:30-8pm Color guard only. This weekly sectional is for color guard only. Wed, Aug 28 7am Rehearsal. All students begin promptly at 7 am. Percussion will be released to first hour then return for 2nd hour. Thurs, Aug 29 5:30-8:30pm Rehearsal. All students attend. Fri, Aug 30 7am Rehearsal. All students begin promptly at 7 am. Percussion will be released to first hour then return for 2nd hour.
