9/2 - 9/6 Next Week in Band

Band families,
I hope you all enjoyed Parent Preview and can see now how hard our students are working. Our first game is Sept. 13th. More details to follow next week but please keep this on your radar.  

Also, BOA in Cedar Falls, IA (Sept 27-28) is quickly approaching. Please book your hotels now. We do not have a group rate at any of the hotels.  The students will be staying at Ramada Inn by Wyndham-Waterloo- Convention Center 205 W 4th Street, Waterloo, IA 50701 which, according to Google Maps, is about a 20-minute drive to the dome. An email with more detailed information will be coming out on Monday.

REMINDERS
Mum orders were due Friday, Aug 30th. If you are late getting your payments in, please email Jenni Daniel and please have them to the payment box, no later than September 4th. This is the last time I will check and I need to get the order to Louisburg Nursery. Please be watching this note for a Sign-Up Genius for “Mums pick up Day” - Saturday, September 21st. We will need students and parents to make this a successful fundraiser.

FUNDRAISING
THANK YOU to all who have been working hard to sell mums! Another big THANKS to Jenni Daniel for coordinating this fundraiser. Stay tuned for a SignUp Genius to assist with delivery on SEPTEMBER 21, 8AM-12PM in the band parking lot.

UPCOMING: Jersey Mike's Fundraiser will kick off at the 9/13 football game and event will be held 9/16-9/18 at the BluHawk location. Band members and their families will be handing out coupons to friends, fans, co-workers and neighbors for sandwiches. A $3 donation gets you a sub! This is a great deal! Again, a SignUp Genius will be sent out for volunteers to assist at the football game. More details at the September 10th Booster Meeting.

FRESHMAN/NEW BAND MEMBERS

NEXT WEEK IN BAND

Mon., Sept 2
No School; No Rehearsal

Tues., Sept 3
7am Rehearsal. All students begin promptly. Percussion will be released to first hour then return for 2nd hour.

3:30-5:30pm Percussion only. This is a weekly sectional that is MANDATORY for all percussion students (front ensemble and drumline). 

5:30 - 8pm Color guard only. This weekly sectional is for color guard only. 

Wed., Sept 4
7am Rehearsal. All students begin promptly. Percussion will be released to first hour then return for 2nd hour.

Thurs., Sept 5
5:30 - 8:30pm Rehearsal. All students attend. 

Fri., Sept 6
7am Rehearsal. All students begin promptly. Percussion will be released to first hour then return for 2nd hour.
